"My daughter was involved in an accident in her own vehicle, which is titled and registered in her name. Even though her car was insured under my policy, she is the primary and only driver. State Farm incorrectly coded the accident as if I lent her my car and I was responsible. This false information ended up on my LexisNexis CLUE report and caused my insurance rates to jump to almost $500 a month for over a year. I called the office on November 26 to fix the issue, and I was told that I am automatically liable for any accident involving a listed driver, even if it wasn’t my car and I wasn’t involved. That is completely false and contradicts CLUE reporting guidelines. Today, 12/1 they informed me that I have to contact LexisNexis myself to fix the incorrect information that State Farm submitted, instead of taking responsibility and correcting their own reporting error. Meanwhile, I’ve been overpaying due to a mistake I didn’t make. This has been incredibly frustrating, and I’m disappointed in the lack of accountability and the misinformation I was given. I hope the office improves their training and takes steps to ensure other customers don’t go through this."
